Can you believe Atreyu's 'A Death-Grip on Yesterday' is 20 years old? Neither can we.

The album pushed Atreyu's sound, and there are a group of listeners who think the album is one of their best and a slept-on piece of work.

The album was released in 2006, marking their third studio album, and now, two decades after its release, A Death-Grip on Yesterday is getting a new vinyl reissue, which is set to be released on October 30th via Craft Recordings. The album is getting released on standard black vinyl and some limited-edition variants: "Fire Smoke" and "Blazing Yellow", a cool item for every Atreyu fan to add to their collection.

A Death-Grip on Yesterday kept the band's heavier sound, but leaned into a more melodic feel. The change in sound ended up getting the band to number 9 on the Billboard 200, thus giving the band their first top 10 release.

One of the biggest songs on the project is “Ex’s and Oh’s,” which ended up reaching number 4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart; the track was everywhere, including video games and Jersey Shore.

With nine tracks on the record. Atreyu found a way to step outside of the box while keeping that heavy aspect listeners knew and loved.

The anniversary isn't only bringing the album back to vinyl. The reissue will also include a track recorded during the death-grip era: “Her Portrait in Black," which didn't initially make the album, but it DID appear on the 'Underworld: Evolution' soundtrack that same year.

The band has since released ten studio albums, their latest having come out in April, called The End Is Not the End, via Spinefarm Records.
