Major League release first new song in 12 years - heavenly hell

NEW RELEASE – Twelve years is a long time to wait for a new Major League song. Today, the wait comes to an end, and 'Heavenly Hell' was worth it.

It's not a remaster. Not a vinyl pressing. It's an ACTUAL new song. The New Jersey pop-punk faves are BACK with their first new music in what feels like forever, and in true Major League fashion, as catchy as ever.

Do you understand how big this is? It marks an entirely new era for the band; the track pairs punchy guitars and drums that hit hard with dual vocals from Nick Trask and Brian Anthony Joyce, and stays true to what we've always loved about Major League.

Their return didn't begin with plans to write new music.

After almost a decade without speaking, Trask and Joyce reconnected with one goal in mind: to mend their friendship. It started with being open and honest with each other first and foremost, and according to the band, the idea of making music together wasn't even a part of the plan. Naturally, new songs started making their way into the picture and eventually landed in the hands of their longtime friend, former booking agent, and producer Gary Cioni.

With Luke Smartnick joining on drums, the trio found themselves creating music that captured what Major League has always been about.

Speaking on the new single, the band shared:

"'Heavenly Hell' was born out of patience and transparency. The patience to allow yourself to grow and the transparency to share that growth in meeting people where they are. When we first began talking again after 13 years, the only clear goal we had was to be friends again. And as much as I'd like to think music was never on the table, I think truthfully it never really left the table to begin with. We always felt like we were meant to do this together. This song is proof."

Formed in New Jersey in 2009, Major League built a loyal following through touring and scene staples. After the disbandment in 2016, their music continued to stay in rotation with longtime fans, and in 2025 they officially reunited with original vocalist Nick Trask, celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Truth Is... with a sold-out hometown show and an exclusive vinyl release.

Fans can catch 'Heavenly Hell' live for the first time as Major League continue their current North American run with Belmont, with upcoming stops in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., New York City, Toronto, Pittsburgh, and more before wrapping things up at Bolero Block Party in New Jersey this September.
