Hit the Lights Announces 2026 Tour Celebrating 20 Years of
This Is a Stick Up… Don’t Make It a Murder
If you know us, you know we’ve been all about every tune Hit the Lights has dropped in the last few months. They recently released their latest EP, Tomorrow’s Gonna Hurt, and the good news just keeps coming. The band is officially heading out on an East Coast run to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of their debut full-length, This Is a Stick Up… Don’t Make It a Murder (how has it already been 20 years?!).
The album is an iconic piece of pop punk history, and it is one of the highlight records of the scene, so we were excited to hear that they'll be playing the record from front to back on this 16-day-run. This Is a Stick Up… Don’t Make It a Murder showcases plenty of no-skip tracks, including ‘Bodybag’, ‘Speakers Blown’, and “It’s All the Rage” to name a few. It has been an album we have gone back to time and time again. With this release, Hit the Lights brought standout energy and catchy lyrics that never leave your head; a perfect stepping stone to the rest of their killer discography.
Looking back on the record’s impact, vocalist Nick Thompson stated, “This record paved the way for so many opportunities and experiences that very much made us who we are today. I think the best part is that we still find so much joy in playing these songs and hearing people sing them back to us.”
Hit the Lights will be joined on tour by Major League, who will be marking 15 years of their debut album The Truth Is…, alongside Public Works, Rematch, and LATEWAVES.
Get ready, because tickets are on sale Friday, Jan 30th at 10AM ET. Catch you at a show.
