Classic punk icons, The Descendents, are re-issuing their 1987 album, ALL, as well as their live album, LIVEAGE! On August 14, as a part of Org Music’s ongoing reissue campaign of all Descendents’ work.
The albums will be available on vinyl, CD, and cassette.
ALL and LIVEAGE! represent an important chapter in the punk band’s history and reflect a moment of transition, creativity, and reinvention that ended up shaping the future of the band for decades.
ALL was the final album in The Descendents’ original run, and became pivotal to the band’s identity. This album was also the first appearance of the lineup that would stand for more than four decades, including Milo Aukerman, Stephen Egerton, Karl Alvarez, and Bill Stephenson. The album is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential albums in the band’s catalog. The upcoming vinyl release will feature bonus tracks “Jealous of the World” and “Uranus.”
LIVEAGE!, the live album originally recorded during the tour for ALL, showcases the band at full speed before their initial hiatus. Maximum Rocknroll described the album as “an extremely tight ‘best of’ set” and serves as a companion piece to ALL and a snapshot of the band at their peak.
Similar to previous reissues, ALL will receive a “Punk Note” edition, featuring alternate artwork by John Yates, and newly commissioned liner notes by BrooklynVegan editor, Andrew Sacher. The “Punk Note” edition will be available on black vinyl, and a special edition blue variant will be available only on Org Music.
Both albums will be available on standard black vinyl, color vinyl, CD, and cassette, with additional variants available through Org Music, Descendents, Zia Records, BrooklynVegan, and Tapehead City.
You can order from Org Music now, or check out all the exclusive variants at https://bio.to/descendents.
