New Music Friday: Fresh Faves of the Week - September 4th, 2026 – What Songs Came Out This Week? (Find New Releases)
SEPTEMBER 4th, 2026 –– Just in: this week's coolest new music releases and fresh faves all in one place.
That was quick; we are locked in for your Fresh Faves Friday drops of this week. From Movements to Harrison Gordon we have the full scoop.
To start, we have Harrison Gordon, who released their album 'BLISS' (check out our interview on the album with Harrison Gordon – the man – here). The hard work and dedication put into this album can be seen from miles away. They explain what inspired this release: “I had a two-week period where every night, I'd have the same nightmare about people who weren't in my life anymore. Not even the individuals I'd burned or who'd burned me, just the friends who aren't around anymore. After a few nights, I grew convinced that I had probably pushed them away at some point. The fact I was having nightmares about them dying was proof to me that I was 'entirely too much.’” This release is everything we could have expected from the band and more, from the heavy-hitter 'Weirdo' to the more chilled-out 'Scab', all the way to 'Bliss', which ends the record with a solid 6 minutes; this album proves that Harrison Gordon keeps getting better.
Pop-punk fresh faces The Paradox are back with 'That's Not Fair', giving us an energetic banger as always. Also in the pop-punk world: Suckerpunch! Teamed up with rosecoloredworld with 'HOW DO YOU STOP TIME.' it's catchy and powerful, the perfect track to turn up and jam to.
Headsend came to crush our souls with their sound, releasing 'Biopsy of an Unknown Growth' alongside 'Cleo' by Toner; these are easily by far some of our favorite drops of the week.
As It Is has put out their new Live EP 'SO A LIVE' it's following the release of their self titled fifth album which has come up #1 on the UK Independent Album Charts. Patty Walters says, "We’re incredibly excited and proud to release the ‘So A-Live!’ EP, our first ever collection of live recordings. This is a project that we’ve all wanted to bring to life for years, but the right time never presented itself, until now. I feel like this album and these songs were the perfect moment to celebrate the songwriters, performers, and lifelong friends we are today".
We didn't forget about the HEAVY HITTERS this week:
The time has finally come 156/Silence has released their full length album 'From A Distance' and they really never disappoint there are so many emotions felt throughout it. Having just wrapped up their North American tour supporting Chiodos, and getting ready for their headlining tour with Aviana, Heavensgate and FromJoy we have to say they are one of the most hardworking bands in the scene. This album truly is a work of art and a beautiful way to honour their late bassist Lukas Anthony Booker.
Next up on the list we have To The Grave showing no mercy with 'LIFE AMONG THE SEPTICS' and it's just as tough as you'd think! Bassist Matt Clarke shares "This song was us leaning hard back into the same influences as our 'Director’s Cuts' album. It’s got all those elements in it: bouncy riffs, some fast stuff and just lots of dynamics. We’re looking forward to playing this one on the upcoming tours…that start today. Australia now, North America in two weeks!"
