Las Vegas pop-punk band High Sierra Club is back with their latest single “Early Sundown,” which we’ve been jamming to since it came out (check out our TOP8 Tuesdays playlist if you don’t believe us). The track was released last week and leans into something most of us have experienced: the emotional burnout that comes from arguments that go to the extreme and are unfixable.
The tune has more mellow moments in the verses, it’s guitar-driven, but picks up into that pop-punk sound we all know and love. The chorus is catchy and upbeat, the kind of song you can see yourself singing along to at one of their shows (speaking of, catch them in Vegas April 3rd at Taverna Costera and April 11th at Three Star Punk Bar)
“Early Sundown” showcases vocals that swing between rawness and vulnerability and delivers a pop-punk emotional punch. The single follows the band’s earlier 2026 release “Talk,” which explored the silence and miscommunication that can build tension within relationships. These two tracks go hand in hand at creating the emotional direction of their upcoming EP Love All by Itself Isn’t Enough.
TOP8’s TAKE?
“Early Sundown” brings that comforting yet emotional vibe that makes you think about every moment where, no matter how hard you try to communicate, there's that feeling of ‘does anyone really care?’
Its those conversations where emotions took over before logic had the chance to step in. It hits close to home, is a straight-up tune, and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
Go stream it and stay tuned for more.
