NEW TO THE SCENE – Set Your Goals – Accelerate
“This is a full-blown assault!”
Bay-area pop-punk/melodic hardcore band Set Your Goals are hitting the road to celebrate 20 years of their first album, Mutiny!. This east coast run will see support from The Warriors, Restraining Order, War is Hell, and Stateside. But don’t worry, West Coast - they didn’t forget you. The band will also be hitting your neck of the woods this December with support from I Am The Avalanche, Doomsday, Bad World, and Giveaway.
That isn’t the only news the 5-piece has to share. They also announced they have signed to In Bloom, and released a new single, “Accelerate” - their first release since 2014. That track is now streaming, and will be released as a 7” alongside an unreleased b-side track, “Big Couch.” This exclusive vinyl is available for purchase now, and they will also have a “tour exclusive” colorway, available only at the shows this fall and winter.
Johnny Minardi of In Bloom commented on how this partnership took two decades to come to fruition, “Set Your Goals sent a demo to Fueled By Ramen in 2005, and I completely fucked up - I loved it but never reached out... Thankfully, Goonies never say die. Fast forward 20+ years, I got my hands on an early version of Accelerate, and it absolutely blew my mind. Somehow, this band is even better in 2026 than they were back then,” he said. “Welcome back, legends!”
