AUGUST 21st, 2026 –– Just in: this week's coolest new music releases and fresh faves all in one place.
Welcome to another massive week in the scene. We have new releases spanning from Anberlin, who just announced their 9th studio album with vocalist Matty Mullins, all the way to the release of Time Sent Driving's brand new album Lost Leaves and Savage Hands hitting us again with their latest track 'Bruise'.
To start it off, the UK's finest Strange Company drop 'Do You Feel Numb?' today. Best described as the love child between Thrice, Boston Manor and Bring Me The Horizon's That's The Spirit era, we know you guys are gonna dig this drop.
Tiger Would! gave us one of our fave new releases this week with 'Crying at the Landmark Motor Inn', Taylor Acorn teamed up with everyone's favorite, Knox on 'Isn't It Strange' and pop metalcore band 'SIFYN' comes in hot with 'CODE' this next chapter for the band is even stronger than before, the track gives off a very chill but impactful sound. Their new album 'Self Encrypted' is set to release December 4th 2026.
We didn't forget about the HEAVY HITTERS this week:
Guaranteed to have you counting down the days until the next gig, 'do or die' from Windwaker starts it off strong and full of energy the perfect song to get you headbanging in the morning. Next on the list is Miss May I dropping 'Death Threat' talk about a band that constantly gets better as the years go on and this track proves it!
Finally we have 'brainless' by downcast. All the way from the UK, they are never one to shy away from topics that are hard-hitting and important. Frontman Liam Edwards explains, "Our new single is about my frustrations with the rise of far-right ideologies in the UK in recent years. I’ve witnessed so many people become radicalised by false information, and it’s sad knowing that their hatred is completely misplaced. To see people convinced that those who they have the most in common with are the reason for their struggles, while praising the billionaires who are destroying our planet and making us poorer, is so disappointing."
