AUGUST 7TH, 2026 –– Just in: this week's coolest new music releases and fresh faves all in one place.

Happy Friday! This week we have a ton of new album drops, including killer new tunes from Citizen, Jutes, and Forest, who brought us back to the 90s. PLUS, tunes from some TOP8 faves like Ray Hawthorne staying on the themes of self-sabotage; this one brings a harder edge: when will the cycle end? We also have a new EP from High Sierra Club, and a bunch of heavy hitters headed straight to your headphones.

First up? We got Colorblind with 'Lost In Translation', a captivating track where words are sometimes misunderstood, no matter how hard we try. They have definitely become a major force in the metalcore space. Keeping the vibe going, Northlane and 'CUT_it' blend some electric elements with fierce vocals; we can confidently say it's one of our favourite drops this week. Their new album is set to drop on October 30th.

SiM comes down chillingly in 'FREEZE ME UP '. Fun fact for any anime lovers out there: this new drop is featured in BLACK TORCH. It's a unique mix of genres, and we are here for it. Supporters can get excited for SiM’s new album as well as the HOOMAN AFTER ALL World Tour later on this year.

The Bites continue this fresh Friday, giving us "Whenever You're Ready"; it finds them caught in the wake of a bad love affair. Sometimes holding out hope that they will finally come around hurts more in the end.

Time Spent Driving continues with 'She's The One,' sharing that puppy love still exists no matter where you are in life, while also realizing you can always find the person who is meant for you even if you get your heart broken a few more times than you'd like.

Now onto our HEAVY HITTERS:

To The Grave comes in hard. 'TORTURE PORN' is knowingly a vegan death metal band and confidently stands for what they believe in. Vocalist Dane Evans shares ''TORTURE PORN' might be the biggest fight riff song we have. Lyrically, I wanted to state as bluntly as possible that we don’t care if you hate us, what we stand for, or how we choose to stand for it; TTG hates you too. Enjoy the song. Everyone’s still a murderer."

Last but certainly not least, we have Like Moths To Flames 'Where the Quiet Devours Me Whole. They continue to prove they are meant to be here, and although extremely underrated, if you know, you know they are one of the most well-liked bands in the metalcore space for good reason. The talent speaks for itself 100%.
